Behind the Scenes of an Artist - Adding Coloured Inks to a Drawing

I am currently taking part in an art challenge, this prompt was 'Head pieces'.

Instead of just creating some individual headpieces I decided to incorporate them into a children's illustration. I used black indian ink for the main drawing and then added green, pink, silver and gold inks.

The Process:

After finishing the drawing with black ink, I let it dry completely. Then using more black ink I start to shade the areas to give the painting more depth. Followed by adding touches of colour to the final piece.
